Reflecting on a Year of Wins  

As the curtains close on 2023, we thought we’d take a moment to look back over the past 12 months of Darren Northeast PR – and it’s been a ride filled with wins and celebrations, not just for us but also for the fantastic clients we’ve had the pleasure of working with. 

We were thrilled with the recognition we received in the Chartered Institute of Public Relations’ 2023 PRide Awards. But what really lights up our day is knowing that we helped our clients up into the winner’s circle right alongside us! Our award application writing service has truly blossomed this year, as we’ve helped almost every one of our clients to succeed in industry awards, and finding the right words to help them shine bright! 

This year, we put together a record number of award applications across multiple different sectors, landing an incredible 13 finalist spots and scoring one bronze, five silver and three gold awards.

The brainchild of our MD, Darren Northeast, our awards service was launched a few years back, when we noticed our clients needed a hand in presenting themselves. Adds Darren: “Seeing our clients walk away from those industry awards with armfuls of trophies makes it all worthwhile. And of course, we’re on hand to help them capitalise on their wins, gaining all the reputational and brand awareness advantages they deserve.” 

Our own accolades weren’t the only ones making headlines. Our clients clinched finalist spots and wins in awards across a wide range of sectors including leisure, finance and social care. It just goes to show that as a PR company, you don’t need to narrow your focus on a specific sector – our specialism is telling stories, whatever industry our clients work in! 

But it’s not just about awards here. We’ve been hard at work crafting PR magic across both traditional and digital media. From Google ads and events to internal communications and attention-grabbing press releases, we’ve been making waves across broadcast, print and online platforms, like BBC South, the Bournemouth Echo and Dorset Living. With our help our clients have also appeared across focussed industry publications like Future Constructor and Architect, Premises and Facilities Management, HR Review and Safety Management. 

Looking ahead, our small but mighty team is excited to continue this journey and push both new and longstanding clients forward. We’re excited to begin the New Year, as we always do, by putting our heads together to cook up some fantastic multi-media strategies to make 2024 even bigger and better!
