The first ‘Networking by the Lakes’ event shows to be in great demand!

Is there any better location to host a networking event, other than the idyllic Sculpture by the Lakes?

Last week saw Darren Northeast, Rachel Atkinson and Diane Bantten host the very first networking event, Networking by the Lakes, at the stunning Sculpture by the Lakes, for which they had an open invitation to anyone who would be interested in attending this success-driven event. 

What was ‘Networking by the Lakes’?  

The networking function, which saw over 30 business people all in different sectors of the business world, attending to meet and make new connections for future partnerships, was arranged to set a new tone for how to get networking, and where to do so. 

The idea behind Networking by the Lakes was to welcome people to a networking event that was slightly different to the usual, such as a breakfast or a meet and greet in a hotel. This function would prove to be different by it being outside and in nature surrounded by magnificent sculptures, and outside of the usual city-centred Bournemouth and Poole, which was highly liked by many attending this function. 

Why did we choose Sculpture by the Lakes? 

Many of you may be wondering why choose Sculpture by the Lakes. Whilst that answer may not seem as simple to you, for the hosts, it was!

Darren, who is already a huge fan of the gorgeous location, knew that hosting the event here would be a success – with their incredible views, and hospitality – to which they were proved to be right with mouth-watering nibbles available and delicious wine, it was bound to be a success there. 

Hosting the networking showcase here has also proven to have a significant impact on the attendees, as many commented on the choice of location, stating that it is one of the best places to host these types of functions!  

The final thoughts on the event

After watching an incredible sunset while enjoying stunning wine and delicious nibbles, provided by Sculpture by the Lakes and many positive comments post-event, such as “… such a lovely change from travelling to Bournemouth & Poole for networking events.” – we are looking into hosting many more in the future, so be sure to keep an eye for the next post!
