Finalist in the CIPR PRide Awards 2023

Darren Northeast
Posted by Darren Northeast on 31.07.2023

As most of you will know by now, Darren Northeast PR has been shortlisted for not one, or two, but FIVE categories in this year’s CIPR PRide Awards!

After many months of hard work and dedication for our clients, we decided to apply for awards that truly show off our skills as a team. We have been shortlisted for the:

  • Best Long-Term Campaign Award
  • Best Long-Term Client Care Award
  • Travel, Leisure or Tourism Award
  • Healthcare and/or Wellbeing Campaign Award
  • And finally, Jordan, our Senior PR Account Manager, has been shortlisted for the Young Communicator of the Year Award

These awards highlight how well we work alongside our clients to support them in reaching their goals, and how we continue to deliver them exceptional work, every time.

The Best Long-Term Campaign

We applied for this award for our extensive work on an ongoing PR campaign that consistently evolved and developed over the 3 years we worked alongside this client. The campaign aimed to raise both the profile of our client as an individual as well as their business, to increase footfall and attract a wider demographic of visitors to their location.

The Best Long-Term Client Care Award

This award recognised how we have continued to support and develop a strong business relationship with our national client over the years. Our brief was to help them develop both their internal and external messaging, as well as their “voice”. We consistently support the client by attending board meetings when requested, attending events and providing advice where we could.

The Travel, Leisure or Tourism Award

This award reflects the work we did to lead a creative, innovative campaign promoting ‘accessibility’ as a social and healthcare issue. In our campaign, we focused specifically on the Travel, Leisure, and Tourism Industries, and showcased how our client is an example of being the best in the industry for accessible needs.

The Healthcare and/or Wellbeing Award

Our team were asked by this client to raise national awareness of their offerings, attracting new audiences from across the country to visit their location in Bournemouth. We applied for this award to showcase the extensive research and planning that we carried out over a 6 month period to ensure that they received the necessary exposure.

Young Communicator Award

We chose to put Jordan forward for this award because of her recent diligence to not only our team but to the industry too! Since her promotion earlier this year, she has taken on a number of new responsibilities and absorbed another, more senior role on top of her previous Account Manager role.

Darren says, “I am so pleased to have been shortlisted in these industry-leading awards. This recognition fills both myself and the team with a great sense of achievement. After 18 years in the industry, this is the most categories that we have been nominated for in one awards group, which is a true indication as to how much our team has grown and developed into what it is today.”

Darren, Jordan, and Sabrina will be travelling to Bristol for the awards ceremony on the 5th of October to find out the results…

Be sure to wish us luck! But, for now, we are so pleased to have made it to this stage!
